​CINEMATOGRAPHER
Becky Baihui Chen is a Chinese cinematographer based in Shanghai and Los Angeles. She believes that film can inspire social change and empower individuals, and her enthusiasm for intimate stories has led her to work on projects around the world, including Australia, China, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, Germany, Greece, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Sweden, and the United States.

Chen’s fiction work spans a wide range of genres, from political drama and steampunk fantasy to coming-of-age stories. Her recent projects include Scorching (short, Berlin International Film Festival 2026), I’m FINE, Thanks for Asking (indie feature, SXSW 2021 Special Jury Award Winner), and Welcome Back (short, HollyShorts 2019 Best Live Action Film Winner).

In addition to her narrative work, Chen has shot over a hundred commercials for international brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Chanel, Adidas, and La Mer, as well as music videos for Constance and Shan Yichun, and documentaries throughout Europe and China.
